Richards, Tryon and Hollywood, Fla. married on Thursday after noon at 5 o’clock in Greenville, S. C. at the First Baptist church, to Staff Sergeant John S. Rip pendelli of Forest Hills, N. Y. The ceremony was performed by Dr. Ellis Fuller, president of the Southern Theological seminary of Louisville," Ky. The bride’s attendants were her mother, and her sister, Mrs. Lau rence H. Holmes of Tryon. The groom had as his best man Ser geant Edgar Michiel of New York. A dinner for members of the wedding party was held at the Poinset hotel after the ceremony. Mrs. Rippendelli is a graduate of Fassifern school at Henderson ville and of Washington seminary in Atlanta, Ga. She also attend university of Arizona at l^Bon. She is a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. Sergeant Rippendelli is a grad uate of Columbia university.^ He is a son of Frank Rippendelli and of the late Mrs. Ida Rippendelli. He is at present stationed at Camp Croft. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Cook of Tryon Route One announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Edith Chrintine Cook to Pfc. Boyce Bradley on March 1. Mr. Bradley is stationed at Camp Barkley, Texas. Mrs. Bradley will make her home with Mr. Bradley’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Bradley of Mill Spring. ! There will be a blackout in Try on and the whole of Polk County between Monday, March 15th and Saturday, March 20th. With the whole hearted cooper ation of all citizens all previous blackouts have been perfect. This one, of course, will be as perfect. Let us all get set and be ready to go. Chief Air Raid Warden.
